To coincide with the expansion of the restaurant to include a full-service, traditional Italian market, a new brand mark and visual identity were developed. This expansion included a full logo redesign, development of brand stylistic motifs, imagery, print graphics, and large-scale installations and application of the new brand mark.
Since 1959, it has been the mission of Amalfi's Restaurant & Mercato to provide an exciting and memorable dining experience through great tasting Italian cuisine, exceptional service, and a fun relaxing atmosphere. To be a giving member of the Portland community and to use our restaurant to enrich the Northeast Beaumont neighborhood in Portland, Oregon.
Amalfi's was founded in 1959 by Jack and Diane Baker as a sister restaurant to "Caro Amico", the first Italian Restaurant to serve pizza in the Portland area. Jack's father, Fred Baker, started the Caro Amico in 1949.
With over 50 years in business, Amalfi's has been recognized as an institution to the city of Portland. From 1959 seating roughly 15-20 people to currently seating 250 people Amalfi's has sustained a successful reputation for excellent food and courteous service.
Amalfi's has been awarded "Best Pizza" in Portland, Oregon! Both our pizza dough and garlicky sauce are treasured family recipes. The dough is made from scratch and prepared fresh everyday using local Power Flour from Pendleton Oregon Mills. All pizzas are hand rolled and made to order.
